About Confluence Advisory

Bringing it all together

Our philosophy

At Confluence Advisory, we bring it all together. We bring together the perspectives of investors and companies, the connections between sustainability and finance, the need to comply while also communicate and the articulation of strategy through reporting. We believe that reporting always needs to convey what's relevant to your business to be meaningful, both internally and externally.

A distinctive approach

Our approach

We do things differently. We take a comprehensive look at the issues our clients face and come up with a pragmatic way to help you recognise and explain what genuinely matters to your business and why. We focus first on what matters for investors – because meeting their information needs is critical, for any business. And we firmly believe that, by doing so, other stakeholders will get the information they need too.

Hilary Eastman, CEO & Founder

Our team

Our team combines creativity with technical rigour. We are corporate reporting strategy and investor communications experts, with decades of Big 4 accountancy firm experience. We've spent years doing investment analysis and valuations, speaking to investors about their views on the quality of corporate reporting, developing corporate stakeholder engagement strategies and helping companies implement sustainability reporting standards. When it comes to helping our clients, we've got the practical and conceptual knowledge and experience to ensure you get it right.

Our services

Sustainability reporting

Our sustainability reporting advisory services help companies communicate well about what genuinely matters for their business. Whether you need help reporting using the IFRS sustainability standards (ISSB), the European sustainability standards (ESRS) or with voluntary reporting, we combine creativity with technical rigour to make sure you meet the requirements while also meeting your communication objectives.

Our experience in reporting

We've worked with clients large and small and in many sectors – including financial services, extractives, industrials and pharmaceutical – to prepare ISSB and ESRS reports, conduct materiality assessments and improve their climate reporting (TCFD and UK climate disclosures).

Strategic advisory

Sustainability reporting

Our strategic advisory services combine our experience in business valuation and investment analysis with our knowledge of sustainability to bring companies a different perspective on how sustainability issues might affect their business strategy and its value drivers. We help you identify what really matters for your business, as well as what you might be missing, so you have better information for decision making.

Our experience in strategy

In our reporting work, we've helped clients across sectors to analyse the effect sustainability issues can have on their business value drivers. This ensures their sustainability reporting focuses on the right issues – and helps them see where they might need to adjust their business strategy.

Stakeholder engagement

Stakeholder engagement

Our stakeholder engagement advisory services focus on both companies and investors. We combine our decades-long experience working with investors to help companies understand their views and expectations, and plan for how to respond. And we help investors understand how and why sustainability matters affect their investee companies, so they know what to focus on in their corporate engagement activities.

Our experience in engagement

We've developed investor and broader engagement strategies in professional services and have helped clients understand investors' perceptions about their business and strategy. Our background in business valuation and investment analysis means we not only understand what investors say but why they say it and what it means for our clients.
